Welcome to UK Surnames Updated 19 June 2008 IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR AOL USERS: AOL continue to block email messages sent from this site. If you are an AOL user you might wish to complain to AOL that you are no longer able to receive messages sent from the domains county-surnames.co.uk or uk-surnames.com, or find an alternative email address and let me know. The blocking is due to some AOL users deciding that the mail sent from the site was spam and reporting it as such, rather than asking me to remove all of their details from the databases. NEW FEATURE The entire site is now available without adverts (except a single google bar in the page header) for all those who made a donation towards the upkeep of the site. This feature is only available to those who have bought me a drink and are logged in. (I am updating the records manually, therefore it will take up to one working day for the feature to be switched on following receipt of your donations) Place Name pages contain additional links and maps and a short description (well - I have made a very small start on them) PLACE NAME BROWSING AVAILABLE HERE If you would like to add a place description then please send it to me at webmaster@county-surnames.co.uk and I will add it to the database as a matter of some priority. The Surname search routines have also been fixed and are working extremely well. The list of recently added entries has been fixed and can be found at 50 Most Recent Entries This site relies totally on advertiser revenue and donations.
